Murray Duncanson is a highly experienced Chief Executive with wide ranging experience of successfully leading complex
organisations within a highly political climate of organisational disruption. Murray has a strong commitment to a set
of values that underpins the way in which he responds to the demands of those providing and using services while
working across organisational boundaries.

In addition to his 16 years experience as a Chief Executive ,in three different organisations, Murray, has worked at
the Department of Health as part of a Task Force on Prison Health issues,is currently a Non Executive Director of NHS
Education for Scotland and has for several years been a Trustee of a national charity based in the south of England.

Significant career achievements include:

Delivered on all targets, including finance over a 16 year period.

Led major service redesigns in the areas of mental health ,learning disabilities and physical disability culminating in
significant reinvestment and closure of several long stay institutions with one of these projects being described by a
professional management journal as "a classic case study of the management of change."

Planned the development of a high profile community hospital in a very political environment.
|
|

|
In all posts Murray successfully led a cultural change programme with the emphasis on the service user.

Murray currently acts as an Executive Coach to senior managers in national charities, the NHS and international banks.
